The 2 Types of Oils( Natural & Essential)


 

Natural oils:


Natural oils have been used for skin care and hair care for generations. Oils can help prepare a perfect moisture balance for dry, mixed or even oily skin complexion. Whereas creams often include waxes that form a layer on top of the skin that prevents beneficial ingredients from penetrating the surface. Oils help build a resilient skin layer known as the lipid barrier as they penetrate and protect. The quick absorption of vitamins and hydrating acids in oils can be all the different between clear and unclear skin. The right oils don’t leave your skin oily but make it smoother, moisturized and more radiant.

 

Oily skin needs Oil Too!

Even though facial oils have been tested and proven to absolutely beneficiary in the skincare world, there are still those out there with oily skin who are still reluctant to indulge in this glow-boosting skincare wonder. Concerns about pore clogging, worsening of acne or excessive shine all plague the mind.

But LISTEN! According to the experts, facial oils are needed for people with oily skin, provided they use the right type of oil. Surprised, aren’t you? This is because even though your skin produces all that extra sebum, it is not getting moisturised. In turn triggers a sensor to the brain that your skin is overly dry. The skin then begins to produce excess amounts sebum to compensate for the dryness, resulting in your skin feeling so slick and oily all the time. Not only do some oils not clog pores, but the super nourishing properties end up rebalancing your skin’s sebum production decreasing your excessive oil buildup. But that doesn't mean just go slapping oil on your face if you have oily skin. Sensibly it is better to tread with caution , apply the correct oils and correct usage.

Jojoba Oil( oily skin)

It is a semi-clear liquid having little or no odor, and blends well with other ingredients.Kukui oil skin health properties are known to help skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and dry and chapped skin. It has been used by the early Hawaiians for generations to help soothe and rejuvenate their skin from the effects of sun, wind and other natural elements. Plus, it is highly noncomedogenic so it does not clog pores. Perfect for all skin types!

Grapeseed Oil: oil packs a strong moisturizing punch in a lightweight formulation with vitamin C, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. It can be used on all skin types, thus is excellent for skin that is uniformly dry or a combination complexion with dry areas. You also get anti-aging benefits with the extra hydration: Grapeseed oil has a stellar reputation for diminishing lines in areas of thinner, vulnerable skin on the neck and around the eyes.


Olive Oil: Olive oil has long been hailed as a pantry cure-all for dry skin woes, thanks to its intense moisturizing ability. This non-fragrant Mediterranean food staple is chock-full of fatty acids that dry skin craves, including palmitic, linoleic and oleic acids. Olive oil is also a staple in most oil cleansers for its hydrating properties and antioxidant benefits.

Sunflower seed Oil: It's healing properties stand testament to how well it can remedy your dry skin. Rose Hip Oil :

Not to be confused with rose oil, which comes from rose petals, rosehip oil is extracted from rosa canina seeds. “Rosehip oil is a pressed seed oil extracted from the seeds of a wild rose bush, It’s low on the comedogenic scale—meaning it’s unlikely to clog pores—and packed with nutrients. “Rosehip oil is full of vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids which makes it a great ally in the anti-aging battle.

Lavender( highly sun sensitive)

Lavender is one of the most popular essential oils, and for good reason. It has a calming and relaxing scent, and it can help reduce inflammation, soothe redness, and heal acne and other skin conditions.

It is also known to promote wound healing and improve the overall texture of the skin. Although lavender is great for the skin it should always be diluted not to cause skin irritation. When you're on your face your should avoid direct sunlight or use heavy sunscreen.( Not recommended for sensitive skin)
